BodyTalk Access
BodyTalk Access' goal is to provide the layperson, family, and community with a simple set of energy-based techniques to make health maintenance and the management of daily health challenges accessible.
The BodyTalk System is a well-established system of health care utilizing state-of-the-art energy medicine in a safe and comprehensive manner. Its power is based on increasing the levels of internal communication within the body - stimulating the body's own ability to regain and maintain a healthy balance.
The BodyTalk System normally utilizes an elaborate protocol which requires intensive training. But the International BodyTalk Association has recognized the critical need for a simplified version of the system to provide access to many of the key benefits of BodyTalk to as many people as possible.

Module 1
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the BodyTalk system and presents many powerful treatment techniques that address a wide variety of diseases. This course consists of theoretical aspects as well as hands on practical application of the Module 1 BodyTalk treatment techniques. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

  • General treatments including overall breathing patterns, left/right brain and body co-ordination, energy blockages associated with birthplace or imbalances with the local environment, energy faults within the main brain cortexes, general and localized hydration, and health problems associated with internal and external scarring.
  • Specific balancing of the twelve major body organs, eight endocrine systems, and other body parts.
  • Correction of hereditary and/or environmentally influenced cell disorders. Repairing damage from vaccines.
  • Clearing the body of viruses, infections, parasites, food intolerances, environmental allergies, and accumulated toxins.
  • Clearing past and present emotional blockages including specific phobias and fears. These treatments have been very effective in correcting a number of psychological disorders.

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). This course is a pre-requisite for Module 2. It is suitable for health care professionals as well as lay people who may want to learn the BodyTalk system and use the system at a non-professional level.

Module 2
This course builds on the knowledge gained in Module 1 and expands the treatment techniques to include the entire base BodyTalk system. Once again, both the theory and the practical aspects of the BodyTalk treatment techniques are covered in this course. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

Extrinsic Reciprocals, Lymphatic System, Nervous/Circulatory Systems, Energy Systems (Meridians, Blood Sugar, Chakras), Intrinsic Reciprocals, Environmental Systems.

  • Treating the 36 surface energy points that often impact a person's energy level, mood, overall structural integrity, muscle tension, and digestive system. Surface energy imbalances can also cause pain in specific parts of the body.
  • Cleansing the lymphatic system including all the body lymph glands and the lymph ducts.
  • Treating energy blockages associated with the nervous and circulatory systems.
  • Balancing the various energy systems within the body including the traditional acupuncture meridians and the Chakras.
  • Restoring energy imbalances between the patient and certain aspects of the environment.
  • Specific balancing of brain function and improvement of the circulation of nerves and blood to, or within, specific areas of the body.

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). Module 1 is a pre-requisite for this course and this course is a pre-requisite for any of the advanced BodyTalk modules (e.g., BodyTalk Brain, Organs-Endocrines-Chakras, etc).

Module 1 & 2 Advanced Practical
This new course is a practice-oriented workshop designed to broaden and deepen the practitioner’s understanding and skills learned in Modules 1 and 2. This class is the only advanced workshop available to non-IBA Members and includes:

  • A detailed review of the protocol and BodyTalk principles, including “What is Innate?”
  • More in-depth examination of the materials in the Appendices of the new Module 1 and 2 manuals that covers options for “More specific?”, i.e. anatomy and physiology of a cell, the organs, endocrines, and brain; body chemistry; meridians; and nervous system specifics.
  • Increasing the reliability of your Yes/No answers.
  • Development of your BodyTalk practice.
  • Highlights from the Instructor in their area of expertise, e.g. Body Chemistry, Active Memory, handling difficult cases, Anatomy, Lymph work, etc. (which means it may be very valuable to take this course from more than one instructor).

Total Class time is 16 hours (minus breaks). Available at a discount to IBA members. Module 1 and Module 2 are prerequisites for this course.

Module 3
This course is the most essential of the advanced courses on BodyTalk. The consciousness work in Module 3 underlies the foundation of the philosophy behind the BodyTalk System and explains how to apply it in a practical way. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

  • Links: A detailed review of the linking system of BodyTalk.
  • Definitions: A study of the theory and practical application of 'Defining the Links.'
  • Five elements: The practical application of using the Chinese five element system within the BodyTalk protocol.
  • Basic Consciousness: The basic approach to consciousness work within the BodyTalk protocol. This enables the BodyTalk Practitioner to address the beliefs, attitudes, and states of awareness of the patient in a simple, non-invasive way under the direction the the patient's own innate wisdom. It integrates with every aspect of the BodyTalk protocol supplying definitions of links that will greatly enhance healing at all levels.
  • Advanced consciousness: This includes the philosophy and understanding of such concepts as Space/time; Guilt; Separation: Individuation; the True nature: the 'essential' nature; masks; and habitual thinking patterns, as they relate to the unfolding personal and spiritual growth of the patient and practitioner. Practical use of this knowledge enables the practitioner to balance the right/left brain complex and assist the patient towards recognition of their natural state of inner peace and harmony.

Total lecture time is 17 hours (minus breaks). Only available to IBA members. Module 2 is a pre-requisite for this course.

Module 4
This course addresses the body as an energy system. It examines the many ways of integrating the energy systems of the body with the physical functioning of the body. It is the foundation of the BodyGenics system developed by Dr. John Veltheim. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

  • Links and Definitions are reviewed again.
  • Five elements: A more detailed study of the five elements.
  • The role of the kidneys in the Yin/Yang balance of the body and how they relate to the sensuality/sexuality equation.
  • Wei Qi (protective energy): A detailed examination of the role of Wei Qi and the practical ways to balance its functions.
  • Breathing cycle: A study of all the aspects of the breathing cycle and its ramifications throughout the body.
  • The Diaphragm: The role of the diaphragm in the processing and distribution of pathological emotions and thoughts. A specific technique to release the diaphragm and improve its function.
  • Nature of Emotions: A study of the role of emotions within the bodymind complex and new techniques in harmonizing the emotions.
  • Body Vivaxis: A specific technique to re-orientate organs, endocrines, and body parts to the whole bodymind complex.
  • Muscle relationships: a detailed study of the emotional and psychological relationships of all the major muscles and joints of the body.

Module 7
Module 7 focuses on sports medicine and musculo-skeletal disorders. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

  • Posture.
  • Specific spinal balancing.
  • Reciprocals - in detail.

Total lecture time is 34 hours (minus breaks). Only available to IBA members. Module 2 is a pre-requisite for these courses, which must be taken together.

Module 6
This course has a wide subject matter but is primarily concerned with the macrocosmic view of the function of the bodymind complex. Earlier modules have focused on the internal synchronization of the bodymind. We must be aware that the bodymind is also a integral player in the macrocosm and must be in synchronicity with all those factors if harmony is to occur. The elements of the BodyTalk protocol addressed in this course are as follows:

  • Twenty-one Sub-Chakras: The function of the twenty-one sub-chakras that are spread throughout the body and the technique for balancing them.

In this course, much more detailed information about Allergies, Intolerances, Toxins, and Microbes is presented and discusses.

BodyTalk Orthopedic Evaluation
The focus of this course is to teach you how to find the dysfunctions in the client’s body using the Body Talk system and confirming your results with manual testing methods. In the course you will improve your palpation skills and feel physical lesions in the client’s body. The Body Talk Practitioner will learn to evaluate range of motion of the upper and lower extremities and the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. Tension tests that determine bone and joint stiffness, muscle spasm, fascial tension and swelling will also be taught.

Mindscape
Mindscape is a weekend workshop that leads participants to ‘open’ the powerful latent intuitive powers of the mind, and learn techniques such that one can tap into this resource at will, to immense benefit. It is taught in various countries around the world both to public audiences as well as specialized groups that include therapists, athletes and top businesspeople. Clients include some of the world’s biggest companies, who have found the methods effective in enhancing creative thinking and intuition within the ranks of their senior executives and managers.

Right Brain Practical
This workshop is designed to refine the practical skills of IBA members by helping them to synthesize all the Modules and work with them in a fluid way. John Veltheim is the only instructor teaching this course. This is also an opportunity for BodyTalk practitioners to meet John, the founder of BodyTalk, and spend four days with him to ask any questions on BodyTalk and have more detailed explanations of particular techniques or principles.

  • There is extensive practical – in particular, John will do sessions on as many participants as time allows so that a better appreciation and understanding of the flow of advanced BodyTalk sessions can be developed.
  • John will also be demonstrating his shortcuts and little extras that aren't always covered in the formal workshops.
  • Although there is not officially any new work being taught, John often uses this time to elaborate on the new work is his developing at the time so that he can receive feedback.

IBA Membership and BodyTalk 1, 2, 3, 4/7, & 6 are pre-requisites for this course.
